Victoria’s Secret model Sabrina Jales St. Pierre sues California hotel over bedbug “massacre”
A model says her career came to a screeching halt after she was attacked by bedbugs inside a hotel, leaving her with unsightly marks.
Sabrina Jales St. Pierre says she was “slaughtered” by a critter “infestation” while she recently stayed at a hotel in Palm Desert, California.
The photos show marks all over his body. She said the pain was unbearable.
âIt was really swollen, really red, the bites were huge,â she told Inside Edition. “I had to take a break from modeling just because you couldn’t do auditions, castings or whatever. You can’t work when you have all these marks on your body all over the place.”
Sabrina’s attorney, Brian Virag, is suing the Palm Desert Embassy Suites hotel.
“This is something you will never forget, you can never be put back in the same position you would have been if it had never happened,” he told Inside Edition.
The hotel denies the allegations, saying in a statement: “Inspection of the room did not reveal any signs of bedbugs. The comfort, health, safety and security of our guests are of the utmost importance .
âRegarding this incident, our client stated that she felt like she had been bitten by bedbugs on her lower legs,â the hotel added. âWe have a very complete protocol in case [a guest] report any situation affecting their personal well-being. Whenever there is an allegation of bites from a number of pests, we have a protocol that we follow to investigate.
“Our management immediately learned of Ms Jales’ allegation that she had insect bites, she was moved to another room. Additionally, as a gesture of hospitality, the hotel dry cleaned all of her laundry. The hotel management then proceeded to inspect the room inspection did not reveal any signs of bedbugs.
The hotel took extra precautionary measures by contacting an external pest control company. The pest control company reported and documented that there was no evidence of pests in the room, including bed bugs . We deny the allegations made in the press and social media. “
But the model says it was a nightmare.
âI really wanted to rip my skin off, it was really bad,â said Jales St. Pierre.
