Pennsylvania mother killed in California hotel: police

A 22-year-old mother from Pennsylvania has been found dead in a California hotel and police are now investigating her death for homicide.

Harrisburg’s Diasia Sease was identified as the victim of a “suspicious death” Thursday, July 21 by Modesto police.

Modesto police were first called to investigate the death when Best Western hotel staff found his body in his hotel room at 2001 West Orange Burg Avenue at approximately 11 a.m. on Wednesday July 20, according to departmental reports.

His cause of death has not been officially released.

Her last Facebook post spoke of her hopes for her future, “I’m the rich mum with 1 kid 🤍”, the post was posted at 5.04am on July 17, just three days before she was killed.

Her penultimate message was from her friend Jonas Strunk who was shot in Harrisburg the previous week in the same area as his father was killed 15 years before.

Her friends also talk about their sudden loss on social media, saying she was “peace-loving”, “kind” and had a “young, beautiful, bubbly soul”.

She was most recently working as a digital designer and is survived by her daughter, family and friends, according to social media.

Details of the funeral and memorial services have yet to be released.
