Guy Fieri awards grants and scholarships to restaurants and students in Southern California – press enterprise
Celebrity chef Guy Fieri announced grants to up-and-coming restaurateurs last week at an online awards show.
“Restart of Guy’s Restaurant presented by LendingTree” broadcast via social media Saturday from a set in Napa Valley. The program included several celebrities including Shaquille O’Neal and Rob Gronkowski as well as chefs such as Cat Cora. It was co-hosted by Antonia Lofaso.
The aim was to show “close attention to the industry we all know and love,” said Fieri, and to help restaurants recover from the troubles caused by the new coronavirus pandemic.
Grants and scholarships valued at $ 25,000 have been awarded to several recipients in Southern California.
Amanda Lacher and Julia Li of PorchBox Restaurant in Laguna Hills received a grant sponsored by AT&T. Eatporchbox.com
