The 305-room Conrad Los Angeles has opened in Greater LA, a new residential, retail and entertainment development in the booming downtown district. The luxury property, designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry, marks the California debut of the upscale Hilton brand.

Hotel amenities include new dining venues by star chef José Andrés, the Conrad Spa Los Angeles, and proximity to cultural venues in the heart of downtown.

The San Laurel, run by Andrés, a breakfast and dinner destination on the 10th floor overlooking the iconic Walt Disney Concert Hall designed by Gehry, offers Spanish specialties with a California twist, incorporating fresh local ingredients . Highlights on the menu include grilled Romaine with Manchego espuma, bone-in Wagyu rib eye and roasted celeriac carpaccio.

Other Andrés dining options include Agua Viva, a chic rooftop restaurant with a Latin-Asian fusion menu, signature cocktails, and panoramic city views; Airlight, a rooftop poolside bar; and SED, which celebrates both the desert and the ocean with a menu of popular spirits and fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables.

The beautiful lobby features Gehry’s wave ceiling design, floor-to-ceiling windows, and an arrival bar crafted from 11,000-year-old lava that has been polished and glazed. Prominent local artists have works on display in the reception and lobby areas.

Rooms have wide-plank light oak floors and natural linen walls, as well as open wardrobes, L-shaped sofas and minibars. The Grand Avenue Suite has a private terrace, a dining room with a six-seater table, a formal living room with a bar, a master bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in closet.

The property’s 7,000 square foot spa offers a wide range of services providing a deeper wellness experience than a typical hotel spa. Amenities include seven treatment rooms, a wellness bar with body care and recovery products, an “enlightenment lounge”, infrared sauna and recovery cabins.

For events, Conrad Los Angeles has 12,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, including a 4,800 square foot ballroom, as well as a 16,000 square foot rooftop terrace with an expansive pool deck.
