citizenM opens its first hotel in California

LOS ANGELES, CA – Affordable luxury hotel brand, citizenM will open its first California hotel in downtown Los Angeles this month.

citizenM Los Angeles Downtown was developed in collaboration with lifestyle hotel developer BLVD Hospitality and designed in collaboration with architectural firm Concrete Amsterdam and construction company Mortenson.

The 11-story hotel will feature 315 rooms, a gym, five societyM meeting spaces, a collectionM retail space with travel essentials, and a canteen, which mainly serves locally sourced food 24 hours a day. and 7 days a week. The hotel rooms each feature the same design with an XL king bed and MoodPad tablet controls for temperature, shades, lighting, and entertainment. The company’s second location in California, citizenM San Francisco Union Square, is scheduled to open in October this year. The lifestyle company has additional properties slated for late 2021 and early 2022, including citizenM Miami World Center, citizenM Miami Brickell, and citizenM Washington DC NOMA.

In upcoming openings, the company will have a total of 10 locations in the United States and 27 locations worldwide. The brand currently has existing properties in Boston, New York, Seattle and Washington DC in the United States.
